This is a section dedicated to issues and organizations I feel are important. I am actively involved with many of the
organizations and causes here and I would encourage everyone to spend a few hours each week working to make their city,
town, state or country better than it was when we found it.

Help provide reading material for incarcerated children.
The department of juvenile justice and delinquency prevention in North Carolina
operates 9 detention facilities and 9 Youth Development Centers throughout the
state. We have a local detention center in Pitt County and a local Youth
Development Center in Edgecombe County. Some of the children being held in
these centers are standing at the cross roads of life. They may go on continue
engaging in criminal behavior or they may become productive member of society.
Reading can open a child's mind and help them make good decisions about their
lives. The Solomon Law Firm, in partnership with our local facilities in Pitt and
Edgecombe County is collecting age appropriate reading material (books and
magazine subscriptions) to help the facilities build larger libraries. Contact my
